Chris Kostouros known simply as "Coach Chris" in the Northwest Indiana region is the founder of the CAPS Basketball Clinic. His mission as a coach is to teach the fundamentals of the game to younger players of all skill levels and also fine-tune the skills of exceptional athletes aspiring to become collegiate or professional players. The world-calibur of basketball played by many European payers, Coach Chris believes, is the direct result of their superior understanding and practice of basketball fundamentals - the same fundamentals that he teaches to his students.

After competing in the collegiate ranks at the University of Dayton and graduating from Purdue University, Coach Chris played professionally for Team AEK Athens in Greece. After two years as AEK's point guard, he signed with Irakio, Crete, where he led the team to its first national championship. Coach Chris returned to the U.S. where he became the head coach of the International Select All-Stars Touring Team, which he played exhibition games against man prestigious colleges such as Notre Dame, Purdue, Valparaiso and Northwestern.

Prior to playing in Europe as a professional and his collegiate career  Kostouros was a four - year started for Lake Central High School, leading the 1984 Indians to the Final Four in Indiana. Kostouros was inducted into the Lake Central Athletic Hall of Fame, twice earning first team All-State honors in football and graduating as Lake Central's career scoring leader, As a high school athlete, Coach Chris earned 11 varsity letters in 5 different sports, a school record.
